Virginia’s Energy Future:
Opportunities through Public-Private Partnerships

The mission is to help Virginia position itself so that businesses, governments, and citizens anticipate the energy challenges ahead and make wise decisions for a bright future.  States serve our nation best when we are laboratories for developing innovative and effective solutions. Virginia has led our nation many times in the past.  Let us seize the day.

The goal is to bring together a broad spectrum of stakeholders from the public and private sector in order to exchange ideas and technology to help remove roadblocks to collaborative solutions and opportunities.

By July 2007, Virginia will have developed a ten year Virginia Energy Plan, as tasked by Governor Kaine and the General Assembly.  This symposium will offer an opportunity for public input into the plan and for national and state experts to convene and discuss the issues and opportunities.
